Wednesday Evening Bible Class
Each week a group gathers at our hall at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday for a Bible study. A 45-minute class is presented and followed by an informal discussion, in which everyone present is welcome to share. The class topics are wide-ranging and are planned by a team of two which creates a programme each spring. Anyone is welcome to submit a class idea of interest, from prophecy to a specific verse exposition to a Bible theme. For example, a few topics we have considered include, "Tithing in the Old Testament and Giving in the New Testament", "How far can we go in giving 'Honour to the King'?" (1 Peter 2:17), "Ships of Tarshish" and "A Study of Isaiah 53".
In addition to our regular classes, our Wednesday Bible class also includes evenings to discuss current events and Bible prophecy, panel discussions and occasional joint classes with the young people and children on Fridays. We sponsor two social Family Nights held at a local community centre, and a Corn Roast in September.
Anyone is welcome to come by to our informal class, whether you are a friend of one of our members, a guest or a young person. We are thankful for the time to stop in our busy schedules in the middle of the week to reflect on God's Word and come together to visit. We strive to help each other "Take fast hold of instruction: let her not go: Keep her, for she is thy life." (Proverbs 4:13)
